In which the last morsel of the forbidden fruit is ingested, and visions arise: Venus and Saturn align, the undying sun eclipses, intergalactic spores arrive: earthbound ships. The wind sings through the vibrating strings of the harped gates and lifts Adam out of his body, out of the garden of the psyche, into the astral realms of his luminous origins.
Dazed by dazzling sights, he neglects to document a single monument along the way.
lyrics
EARTHBOUND SHIPS
he got away
with a single serving
of the secret stash
a currency more current than cash
more potent than hash
here in an instant
gone in a flash
on the day of the solar eclipse
the moon our sun blocks
venus spins saturn's rings on her hips
the mind unlocks
fleets of fleeting earthbound ships
caked in moonrock
and the wind plays the harp
through its trembling strings
and the sound that it brings sings
in resemblance of things
like a crystal it rings
like a sonar s(c)ent
into the solar system:
a sound, unearthly
like the earth that birthed me
set free from me
set free to be its own liberty
mind the flowers… mind the flowers
mine the flowers! mine the flowers!
flower the mind! flower the mind!
we left the garden behind….
we kept the garden in mind...
PARADIcE REPRIzED
its a paradise not a paradox
not a box that locks
its an open book
so close your eyes and have a look
its a paradise, not a pair-a-dime
not a dime-a-dozen
its a one-of-a-kind
its made of change
and of your mind
so take off time
and lose your mind
to leave behind
these paradoxical parasitical sites/sights
and you will come to find
we lost paradise with the toss of a coin
into the darkened skies
and we became what we dispised
when we tossed that pair of dice
yes we ruptured our disguise
when we tossed out paradise
and looked upon our creation
with sssssnake eyes….
mind the flowers, mined the flowers...
