about

I wrote this song in 2008 when I noticed how people were placing all their paternal faith and christ-like authority in Obama, disempowering their own autonomy. It took a few years before the composition was fully adapted to the band. It is not a political song, inspite of its appearance, but rather a call for all to preside over one's self.

"He'll seal our fates, hermetically"

hermetic or hermetical (hɜːˈmɛtɪk)
— adj
1. sealed so as to be airtight
2. hidden or protected from the outside world

[C17: from Medieval Latin hermēticus belonging to Hermes Trismegistus , traditionally the inventor of a magic seal]

Her·mes [hur-meez]
noun
1.
the ancient Greek herald and messenger of the gods and the god of roads, commerce, invention, cunning, and theft.
